As an animal lover, I decided to put together my first event on National Dog Day.
On Friday, August 26th, I will be down at Smith Rock State Park doing some FREE pet photography. That's right, I'll be there, all day long, and I will take photos of as many dogs and their owners as time allows. I'll be posting the photos on Facebook for you to view, download, tag, and share as you see fit.
In addition, I will be selling some raffle tickets for a few prizes graciously donated by Bend Pet Express and myself. All proceeds from these ticket sales will be donated to Brightside Animal Shelter.
Sisters photographer Gary Eidsmoe is using National Dog Day as an opportunity to share his passion for pictures and love of animals. To commemorate the designated day — Aug. 26 — he will be snapping free photos of dogs at Smith Rock and raffling off gift baskets filled with pet supplies.
“I am a born-and-raised animal lover,” he said. “I have pets of my own, and I always try to help animals as much as I can. I’ve been doing photography and videography, and I want to get more into animal photography. I think it’s going to be great. There are so many animal lovers out here.”
